NEW YORK (MAY 2, 2018) – Norwegian, the World’s Best Low-Cost Long-Haul Airline and Airline of the Year 2017, today announced it is boosting frequency on its popular New York to London route beginning October 29, 2018. Service between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and London’s Gatwick Airport will increase from double to triple daily service. The triple daily service will meet the growing demand for travel to and from London, offering business and leisure travelers more convenience and connectivity options.
The new early evening flight complements the existing morning and late-night flights and will operate daily, on Norwegian’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. From London, customers can now choose to depart early or mid-morning, as well as late afternoon, depending on what best suits their schedule.
“We now offer customers 40 flights a week between New York and London, providing greater travel options and flexibility, combined with great value for our passengers,” said Thomas Ramdahl, Chief Commercial Officer at Norwegian. “The addition of a third daily flight to London will cater to the strong demand from both our leisure and business travelers.”
Norwegian added its second daily flight from New York to London in August 2017 and will increase frequency from 13 to 20 times per week. The airlines offers a total of 11 routes from the United States to London, of which four were launched in the last year: Austin; Chicago; Denver; and Seattle. The first London flights were launched in July 2014.
All flights are now available for sale at Norwegian.com/us. Additionally, the website’s low fare calendar displays the lowest available fares to all of Norwegian’s destinations. Passengers on all of Norwegian’s routes are eligible to join Norwegian Reward, the airline’s frequent flyer program and can earn CashPoints every time they fly, stay at a hotel or drive a rental car.
