Avinor recorded revenues of NOK 2.5 https://avinor.no/en/corporate/about-us/reports/reports billion and a loss after tax of NOK 36 million during Q1 of 2018.
‘The first months of the year have been characterised by secure and stable operations, and a result that is in line with Q1 of previous years. Norway depends on a well-functioning aviation system, and we are satisfied to be delivering the service that society expects of us,’ says Dag-Falk Petersen, CEO of Avinor.
Traditionally, Q1 is weak for Avinor with less traffic and winter operations at its airports. The Group recorded a loss after tax of NOK 36 million, compared to a loss of NOK 45 million for the corresponding period in 2017. Operating revenues were NOK 2,509 million, a slight decline compared with the corresponding period in 2017 (2,644). The decrease in income was mainly due to the fact that in 2017 there was a large amount of onward invoiced installation works in connection with the completion of the extended terminal at Oslo Airport.
Air traffic through Avinor’s airports in the period 1 January to 31 March 2018 measured by passenger numbers increased by 1 per cent compared to Q1 of 2017.
The last 12 months saw an average regularity (the proportion of scheduled flights that actually take place) of 98 per cent, and average punctuality (the number of flights that ran on time or were less than 15 minutes late) of 84 per cent.
