The results for Nordic Choice Hotels in Umeå speak their clear language. The hotel rooms are not enough. Together with the property owner Diös, therefore, the construction of a new Clarion Hotel starts at Storgatan in the center. In 2021, the 289 room hotel opens.
Nordic Choice Hotels has previously three hotels in central Umeå. Now it is expanding with another one. During 2021 the doors will open up to a 289 room Clarion Hotel on Storgatan 38 in central Umeå.

Discussions about a hotel project in the Magne neighborhood have been going on between Nordic Choice Hotels and Diös for a while. This has now resulted in a collaboration on a brand new hotel. Construction start is scheduled for spring 2019 and is expected to last for approximately two years. The hotel will be a full-scale Clarion Hotel which, in addition to the 280 rooms, will offer conference rooms, a restaurant and a sky bar.
– Developing central Umeå with a modern hotel and a new attractive meeting place has been in our planning for some time. It is part of our urban development plan for Umeå where we contribute to more people moving in the center. Doing this together with a partner like Nordic Choice Hotels feels really good. We have another joint hotel project in Sundsvall.
