Jón Karl Ólafsson, Director Regional Airports, has left his job vacant. Jón Karl joined Isavia three years ago and has since then worked on ideas about changes in the operational form of domestic airports.
Björn Óli Hauksson, CEO of Isavia:
“The ideas that Jon introduced to a changed operating environment have not yet been achieved, but we hope that they will be able to move with people and make it different from the operation of airports as part of the public transport system. Great performance has been achieved during Jón’s time, for example, the government set up a fund to support international flights at the airports in Akureyri and Egilsstaðir. We are now looking for a good replacement of Jón who can continue to build on the basis of Jon Karl, and we thank him for a great job over the years. ”
Jón Karl Ólafsson:
“I would like to thank all of Isavia‘s colleagues for their cooperation, and I wish you and the company all the best in the big and important projects ahead”.
Björn Óli Hauksson CEO of Isavia will until a suitable candidate has been hired take over the responsibility as Director Regional Airports.
