“Isavia’s results were in all major respects in line with the company’s projections,” says Björn Óli Hauksson, Managing Director of Isavia. “The number of passengers at Keflavík Airport in the first six months of this year has increased by 15.6% compared to the same period last year. This is considerable increase is mainly due to the increased number of transit passengers, which accords with Isavia’s projections.

A record number of passengers has passed through Keflavík Airport in late summer. This increase in passengers means that there has never been more flight destinations from Iceland, both in Europe and North America.”
