Elite Hotels and The Bishops Arms have for some time been working on phasing out cage eggs from our units. We have come a long way in this work and expect to be completely free from cage eggs with shells and processed egg products as early as February of 2020.
Shell eggs are by far the largest part of the eggs we buy, as the egg stir in our Elite hotels is made by hand with regular shell eggs. Cage eggs can be included in other finished products that we do not directly control, and we work with suppliers and partners to eliminate these as well. By 2021, we will also be free from cage eggs for eggs contained in compound products (such as pastries).
